Introducing Goalie Conditioning Resource – Maria Mountain

Like many areas within the world of sports, conditioning has become a science and understanding what is best for an athlete’s conditioning development can sometimes be confusing. Young athletes and their parents often have many questions about conditioning such as; how much, how early, what type is best for what activity.

In keeping with our vision to create an environment of COMMUNICATION so that goalies, parents, coaches and organizations will feel comfortable in knowing that we are a reliable resource for them and their athlete, we have joined in development partnership with conditioning expert Maria Mountain of GoalieTrainingPro.com.

Maria currently runs a workout studio called Revolution Conditioning in London, Ontario but her information and insight can now be accessed by you through our website and blogs or directly at GoalieTrainingPro.com

I first came across Maria’s expertise conditioning knowledge about a year ago and have been following her closely ever since. I was immediately struck by the passion she has for what she does and found that the information she provides has both reaffirmed some of my conditioning views and enlightened me in areas of conditioning of which I was never aware.

As mentioned, Maria will become a source of conditioning information that will be available through our Blogs and through our website. Without getting to far ahead of myself, Maria has also offered to make available a Q & A opportunity through our website that will allow goalies, parents and coaches to ask questions by email that will be answered by Maria. This feature will become available but will require some set up on our website and you will be notified as soon as it becomes active.

We will be starting the first set of Conditioning Blogs with Maria’s Bottom Up Series, which is a five part series of information and videos that will take you joint-by-joint through your body and show you some ways to test your function and to fine tune those areas.

TEAM Shutout is very excited to have the opportunity to work with such experts as Maria and I know that our athletes along with their parents and coaches will benefit also.

Ooh, I know! Nobody ever went broke soliciting contracts from Republicans for pie-in-the-sky, never-gonna-reach-even-the-r&d-phase defense technology.
